Problem with version 2.4.1 ?
Here is my computer info:

MacPro 10.6.8 Snow Leopard
8 core Intel Xeon
12 GB ram

I was running version 2.3 for a long time with no problems whatsoever.

I recently upgraded to version 2.4.1 and starting having problems. I don't know if the new version is the problem or my computer?
I tried to go back to version 2.3 but problem still exists.

My issue is when I restart usually Finderpop doesn't work when I click on the desktop anywhere but it does work when I click up in the menubar. So apparently its loading but something is conflicting with the desktop?

I tried to uninstall and reinstall many times but this doesn't fix the problem. Every once in a while when I reinstall it will work?
I follow the directions by quitting system preferences deleting the preference pane and logging out.

I also tried to install another program like finderpop (openmenu X) and the same problem exists.

I'm wondering is there a preference file that I can delete and start over?

Any help is much appreciated!

Normally there'll be something written to the Console ... it will be obvious which bits are put there by FinderPop :-)
Anything unusual there?

I'm not sure what to look for but here is the last line from console:

2/1/12 6:43:02 PM [0x0-0x48e48e].com.finderpop.fp-injector[9028] FinderPop-x86_64-24100: Patching 'Console' 0:8a48a4 (CF-c)

Re: Problem with version 2.4.1 ?
It looks like the problem was with Bitcasa.
I disabled it and now Finderpop works again.

Thought I would post in case anyone else has this problem.

Thanks Turly for your help with this!

Bitcasa - that's what I thought it must be - it's new...

Anyway, glad it all worked out in the end. Maybe I should give bitcasa a shout and ask what they're doing...

I think there is a issue with insync too.

Problem came back with insync. I quit insync. Rebooted. Problem went away.

Re: Problem with version 2.4.1 ?
Hmm, if the problem happens with both InSync and BitCasa, it might be my problem, not theirs!
Then again, OpenMenu suffers too, so maybe I'm not alone in "thinking differently"...

Just for the record: Bitcasa and FinderPop play nice on this Lion.

Re: Problem with version 2.4.1 ?
241 works quite well within every program, except when I'm in Google Chrome. No pop-up. It's been like this for months, probably even since previous versions, but I just got round to reporting it today! My chrome version is 17.0.963.83. Neither control click or simple click brings it up. Is this an issue anyone else has? I've pretty much stopped relying on FinderPop for this reason and that's quite tragic. I've used it for years and years!

Does FinderPop not show the FinderPop menu or does FinderPop prevent the normal unmodified contextual menu in Google Chrome? If it blocks the normal contextual menu, you could try to add Google Chrome to the excluded applications list in "Active" tab in FinderPop Preferences panel.
