Re: FinderPop Works on El Capitan
Were you actually able to get the current version (2.5.7)? I tried, initially, with SIP disabled, but failed.

I then did a clean install of El Capitan, and was able to install an earlier version (2.5.6), also with SIP disabled.

That worked... but I think it had some trouble with the new type alias' introduced in Yosemite. It did work when I substituted symlinks for alias'.

Re: Some folders won't expand in FP menu
Judging by your screenshots, you're using Yosemite. I've found that Yosemite treats alias's differently from all other previous versions of the OS.

What solved my problem was to replace the standard alias with a symbolic link. Once I did that, everything (this was a problem with more than just FinderPop) went back to working.

I installed a Service in my contextual menu to make creating Symbolic links much easier. It's called SymbolicLinker 2.0v3:

http://seiryu.home.comcast.net/~seiryu/ ... inker.html

or

http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/10433/symboliclinker

It's free, and it's a snap to install. This solved my alias problems... hope it can help you.
