FP working on Sierra (sort of)
I have a 2011 iMac that was running MacOS 10.10 Yosemite because I didn't want to upgrade to 10.11 El Capitan and lose FP functionality (yes, I am THAT loyal/lazy). But I recently bit the bullet and upgraded directly to 10.12 Sierra (skipping 10.11 El Capitan). To my great surprise, FP still works as before. The only problem is that the FP preference pane is greyed-out, so I can't make system changes (although I can still change my FP items using the FP drop-down menu. Of course, when I tried to install FP on a 2015 MacBook Pro Retina that was upgraded from 10.11 El Capitan to 10.12 Sierra, the installer wouldn't allow me to install FP (that computer did NOT have FP installed already).

I've attached a screen shot showing that my iMac is on 10.12 Sierra, FP 2.5.7 is running, and the FP preference pane is disabled.

Is there a way to re-enable the preference panel?

Hmm, not sure what kind of state that system is in after an in-place upgrade with older FP running.
You could uninstall it (Preference Panel -> Right-click FinderPop icon -> "Uninstall") and install the 2.5.9 version following these instructions.
Your preferences and your FinderPop Items folder will not be changed.

Re: Some folders won't expand in FP menu
Ronald PR - thank you. I had somehow unchecked the "Check for Updates" option in the Preference Panel and hadn't realized there was an updated version. 2.5.7 fixes my problem.

Some folders won't expand in FP menu
Some aliases to folders in my FinderPop Items folders don't expand from the FP dropdown menu, while others will. Here's what the dropdown menu looks like:

And here is the FP Items folder:

Neither the Work Documents item or the Applications item will expand (both don't have arrows to the right of the item), while the similar Personal Documents and Documents items have the arrows next to the names in the menu and will expand. This seems to have begun recently (it all worked as it should before). I don't know what, if anything, I've done to cause this problem. I've turned FP off and on again; I've edited the FP Items folder contents; I've restarted my Mac. None of those steps seem to have helped. Any suggestions?

Re: Doesn't work in Finder
I had the same problem on my similar iMac running 10.8.4 (i.e., FinderPop not dropping a menu when the iMac was in Finder), but somehow that now works after updating to 10.8.5 minutes ago. Go figure.

FP not opening reliably
This issue has been posted before, but not recently (to my knowledge). When I click on an unused portion of the Menu Bar, FP sometimes will not open until I click more than once (sometimes 4 or 5 clicks are necessary). This problem isn't limited to any area or areas of the Menu Bar. I have an iMac 27" Quad Core running Mac OS 10.7.5 (Lion). I turned off the translucent menu bar, but that doesn't seem to make any difference. I'm running FP 2.4.6. Suggestions? Thanks.
