Re: FP is working under macOS Sierra 10.12 with SIP
I have 3 monitors. The main monitor (which has the menu bar in it) is connected to the Thunderbolt port, the second monitor is connected to the HDMI port, the third monitor is (with a Displaylink adapter) connected to a USB port - and I did actually update the driver for the Displaylink adapter just a couple of days ago from their version 3.0.0 Beta 1 to 3.0.0 Beta 2.

It could be that FinderPop stopped working correctly after installing the Beta 1 driver several weeks ago and then went back to normal after updating the to the Beta 2 driver. If I find the time I will reinstall the Beta 1 driver just to check whether this was the culprit.

Wow! So much to a statement like "nothing has changed on my system." Thanks, Turly, for not giving up and continuing to dig to find out what might have happened on my Mac.

Re: FP is working under macOS Sierra 10.12 with SIP
1) Several days ago I started my Mac with all extensions except for finderpop-daemon and fp-menulet disabled. This did not make a difference - the menulet worked but clicking into the empty space of the menu bar not.

2) Some days later I noticed that clicking into the empty space of the menu bar did work - for as long as I clicked the menu bar at its very bottom border. Nothing had been changed to the system or installed in-between.

3) Today suddenly clicking into the empty space of the menu bar works "as usual". Again, nothing had been changed to the system or installed in-between.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.

The menulet works.

I did not have the time yet to start the Mac without extensions and see whether that makes a difference.

Re: FP is working under macOS Sierra 10.12 with SIP
It does not work in any application. My menubar is always visible and has the usual full white color. I also did not do anything (including no updates) to the system between the last day it worked and then suddenly did not work anymore.

Re: FP is working under macOS Sierra 10.12 with SIP
Up to a couple of days ago FinderPop worked perfectly fine on my Mac with macOS 10.12 Sierra. However, since two or three days I can suddenly not anymore invoke FinderPop by clicking into the unused area of the menubar. It still works with a right-click on the desktop - but I really miss the menubar option.

Is this a new and by now known problem? Is there any way to get the menubar option back?

Thanks for your replies - desertman.

PS: FinderPop version is 2.5.9 beta. SIP is, of course, disabled.
