Can't access finderpop after install
I've installed 2.5.7 in Yosemite 10.10.2 and can't seem to get anything to pop up. It's showing up as it's own pane in system preferences. I haven't changed anything from the default install.

I've tried to right click, ctrl click, shift click, etc. but finderpop isn't connected to the normal contextual menu (accessing files here is what I'd really like!). I'm able to access finderpop's preference pane and it says it's "on". I've turned it off and on and I've restarted the computer, but I'm not having luck.

Following another posts instructions I've done this multiple times:

1. First uninstall FP properly by using the option in FinderPop preferences panel > Etc. tab > Uninstall FinderPop. (If FP is installed for more than one user, repeat that for every user that has FP installed.)

2. Then install FinderPop for all users:
- Make sure that System Preferences is not running - quit it if it is running.
- Download the latest FinderPop version and double-click the FinderPop.prefPane icon from that download.
- When System Preferences opens it'll ask you whether FP should be installed for all users or just you. Choose "All users".

3. unzipped using built in zip extractor.

Could it have something to do with the Daemon? When I installed finderpop a notification came up saying "this ___ was downloaded from the internet are you sure you want to install". I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and each time I select yes about the daemon, but I'm not seeing anything referencing finderpop in the activity monitor, should something be in there? Cheers

Re: Can't access finderpop after install
Well, it "is" showing up on the unused menu area of many programs including grand perspsective, entropy, etc, but, it's not showing up in finder's menu area or contextual menu. The latter two is where I'm looking to use it. Can someone advise on why that might be?

it normally plays well with xtrafinder installed right?

Re: Can't access finderpop after install
Sorry, was on holiday with no internet access (bliss!)
The daemon message is normal.
I don't know if it plays well with XtraFinder, looks like it may not - can anyone say different?

Unfortunately I can't afford the time to get it working with every different Finder enhancer, all of which would require special-case code...

Re: Can't access finderpop after install
No worries on delay getting back, glad you enjoyed it.

Somehow it started working on its own without doing anything except for updating Yosemite.
